Waikiki Beach Services
Waikiki is a great place to learn how to surf. There are many stands on the beach offering board rentals and surf lessons.
One instructor that was particularly good was Barney at Waikiki Beach Services. They operate from a stand in front of the pink Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
Barney was alert, friendly and helpful. In case the water gets a little choppy out there, I'm glad Barney is on the case. Barney's the good looking guy
in the hat with Uncle Billy in the photos. A funny footnote, so when my wife returned to San Francisco and showed her co-workers these photos, one said,
"We should all have a Barney in our lives."
