Romy's Kahuku Prawn and Shrimp

On the northeastern tip of Oahu is the town of Kahuku. If you come from the North Shore, Kahuku is the next town beyond the Turtle Bay Resort. Kahuku is famous for its shrimp ponds and the roadside vendors who cook the freshly harvested shrimp for tourists. This time up to Kahuku, we stopped by Romy's. Romy Aguinaldo and his family have been running the farm and restaurant for about 15 years. The sign on the window says to expect a wait because good food takes time. It was worth the wait.
